The inspiration for this wall hanging came to me whilst practicing Japanese energy techniques and meditation on the esoteric Reiki symbols. I wanted to create something of beauty that would also have a practical purpose. It can be used as a meditation tool, and a way of accessing positive vibration energy as a blessing for yourself and others.

The symbol at the centre of the wall hanging represents earthly ki. Its Japanese characteristic is Focus; the Western characteristic is Power. In the Western tradition is it seen as a symbol of immortality and eternity. It stimulates the hara and the energetic connection between yourself and the universal lifeforce. The energy vibration contained within the symbol is said to be empowering and is seen as a blessing.

My intent in creating this wall hanging is to instil a feeling of peace and harmony within the work and to programme the hanging as a Blessing to all who are willing to receive it. Its purpose is to create a harmonious and peaceful place, to emit high positive energy as a blessing, and to be used as a meditation tool . Focusing on the symbol, in a relaxed way, can lead to altered states of awareness. Instructions on how to meditation using the symbol, comes with each wall hanging.
